Tuesday, February 17, 2004 Filming flowing water, shooting maquettes, welding up my full scale Archiscape, well, starting to anyway....and, and waiting to hear from printer about my book which hopefully will be available on this site by the summer..... This is my simple to do list, but the pervasive omnipresence of the LINE, which was NOT so obvious growing up in NYC has become absolutely manifest since I began living through the optically attenuated New England winters. The only other time I experienced the shadows of things being more concrete than the things themselves were the summertime shadows of city pigeons. Each made its potential black hole entrance to another world, whereas these winter lines outside my window catch the here and now, sustain it. So lines are now very much in my head, my corpuscles and I am working with them in all I do in the studio. Soon I will upload images of my "String City" in various manifestations .. and other studio activities. |
